April 2011

I had the honor of representing my school at the 2011 IDSA Northeast District Conference at RISD in Providence, RI. I presented my work along with 10 other merit award winners from the Northeast district.

September 2010

I had the opportunity of receiving a travel scholarship in 2010, which allowed me to travel to Scandinavia. I stayed on a farm in Elverum, Norway for several days to learn how Eva makes felt. She uses a traditional Mongolian technique for “fulling” the felt, but has adapted the mechanism to her rough & rocky Norwegian terrain. For what the Mongolian’s use as rope, Eva converted old forestry equipment to full the felt.
